Cancellation Policy - The Model:
If the F8 Photo Club has to cancel a shoot within 3 working days of the agreed shooting day, we will offer you either a new booking with the Club and we will apply a generous bonus payment or a percentage of the fee agreed. We are a very reliable Club and ONLY cancel if the weather is against us (ie snow, floods etc) or if there is a problem with the booked venue which is out of our control.
If you have to cancel withing 3 days of the agreed shooting day as a non-profit making Club we will ask for 50% of the agreed fee to be paid directly into our Club bank account or if it's last minute or a no-show 100% of the agreed fee will be payable within 10 working days.
Our reasons for this are quite simple; the chance of finding a suitable model replacement at such a late stage would be unrealistic in the majority of cases. The Club would therefore be required to give a refund to Club Members who had paid and booked as per the advertised event which the model had agreed to accept.
By accepting a booking with the F8 Photo Club whether by phone, email, text, verbal or via a third party website (ie Purpleport, Facebook etc), the terms on our website supersede all other agreements and terms.
Limitation of Liability:
In the unlikely event of a cancellation of an event by F8 Photo Club, the client or in any other circumstance, the liability of one party to the other shall be limited to the total value of the contract. Neither party shall be liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Your deposit if paid can either be refunded or put to secure the following group shoot.
Models pose by consent and receive a fee for doing so. Club members may publish the models images (which are their property) on their own websites for show as their portfolio or any other photographers portfolio website that they are members of. The photographer may also publish on any other website that he may own, or on advertising material for their services or their own company services, but they are not able to resell to a third party for publishing on the web or in printed matter unless a model release has been signed and paid for. Should a models name need to be published different from what she is published under when booked on a third party website such as Purpleport then it will be the models responsibility to inform all photographers on the day of the shoot, if the information is supplied after the shoot there may be website costs for models to take into consideration, they may have to pay these costs as some club members employ a webmaster to run and update their websites.
